CHILD'S PLACKET NECK SWEATER
Pretty yarn, the colors kind of bleed into eachother - this is
Plymouth Encore ColorSpun #7744

EPISODE 9 - Listener Feedback

EPISODE 9 - DRAWING!

THE CELTIC CABLE SCARF

Here is the beginning of the Celtic Cable Scarf -
not perfect...but really, did you expect it to be? LOL!
This is quite a satisfying knit - I'm using a bamboo cable needle
it kind of grabs and is less likely to slip off on you.
Huh, you can't really see the different colors in this picture - I guess you'll
just have to check it out in person sometime.

Episode 8 - Recycling Yarn!

THE WONDERFULWALLABY!!

Here my 'Wonderful Wallaby' - not too bad, eh?
Okay, so not everything is centered, but really, can you tell?
This is the one that sold before I finished it!
I recommend this pattern - everything in the round, can't go wrong.
The yarn I used was Plymouth Encore in a Heather, of course!

MY RECYCLED YARN

This is some of my recycled yarn - the yarn with the little tags and the other stuff you see hanging from my modified pole is what I've done so far, more to come I'm sure. The display is an old beanie baby pole that I got for $1, so I could hang my hanks. LOL!

Knitting the Blanks

UKITO - BABY MODEL
Here is little Ukito - all ready to show off some up
coming knitted fashions...hopefully.
Isn't he CUTE?!?!

"DO THEY GO WITH MY EYES?"

Okay, maybe they will look less like reptile skin when
we get into the blue color.

Episode 6 - Breaking 200!

SOCK DYING!
Here is Cynthia spreading the colors onto the blank.
We started to run low on color as we got to the end...next time more dye!

ARE WE HAVING FUN?
Who is this crazy looking person? Okay, that's me...wrapping up the other sock blank.
It's not so blank now!

Let's add some black striping to this and see what happens when we knit it up!

A LITTLE DRY TIME ON THE DECK

Who knows how this will all turn out - I'm anxious to find out!

Episode 5 - The best laid plans...

SOCK BLANKS HAVE ARRIVED!
How could I possibly have resisted not dying these yet? I think it's because it would be more fun to dye these with another - so I invited a friend to share in the joy!

MORE YARN?!?
Well yeah, the Bernat/Satin on the right is for another Baby Kimono and the other three...I'm gauging for possibly another Baby Surprise...haven't decided yet.

What a picture hog, that Loki is!

BSJ IS DONE!
After soaking it in the wool wash this turned out really soft.
The striping is so uniform - I'm very happy with it - in spite of the size.

EPISODE 5 - YARN DRAWING!

Knit Picks - Shine Sport
Knit Picks - Wool of the Andes/Dune Twist

The start of the Baby Kimono

Kind of weird looking while your working with it. See the right side increases...that's what I mean by being fiddly, they have loose little loops going up. I guess that's normal, so don't fret if you make this, it will disappear when you sew up the seams.

Just need to make an iCord and sew it up. I think the towel I used discolored it while it was drying...you can see a yellowing...oh bugger! Off to be washed again!

Episode 4 Knits!

DEBBIE MUMM YARN!

Okay, so I couldn't resist this yarn - It was on clearance at JoAnn's...
I mean, come on - 143 yards for $2.97, I think I'd get shot if I passed THAT up!

FIRST PAIR OF 'MAGIC LOOP' SOCKS!
"By Joe, I think she's got it!"
These are being done in that yarn I told you about, from the Shepherd's Harvest Festival. It kind of reminds me of those "Bomb Pops" you get at the fair. Well, I think I could have cast on more, these are going to be more like ankle socks - which is fine - that's closer to what I wear anyway.

BEGINNING OF THE BSJ!
This is how far I got after the first class - not too shabby considering I tore it out a few times.
It took me a while to get gauge for the newborn size (6 stitches to an 1"). I ended up going from a size 7 to a size 3! Well, I think the Noro Silk Garden (#243) looks rather rich.

WASHCLOTHS FOR GRANDMA

"Are these for me, mommy?"
I'm afraid not, Loki...
Unfortunately, you can't really see the designs in the pictures...bah....
Peach color is a Tulip, the Blue is a Hummingbird and flower, the Yellow is a Sunflower and the Red one is a Cardinal on a branch.
